Sustainable land management in the city of Hanover - A private fund model to mobilise brownfields and reserve building land

The project aimed at developing a private sector fund model for mobilising brownfields and explored its implementation conditions for the city of Hanover. It also analysed the transfer conditions to other cities and regions.
The work was done in four working packages:

1. Improvement of the data and information on wasteland and reserve building land for the city of Hanover by a new digital information system
2. Development of a private fund model
3. Analysis of players and institutions in the urban planning process (in local authorities) and in the real estate market of the city of Hanover as well as in the funds market
4. Examination of implementation conditions of the fund model in Hanover and of transfer conditions to other cities and regions
